Victoriano Castellanos Cortes (1795–1862) was President of Honduras 4 February - 11 December 1862. ==Biography==
Don Victoriano Castellanos Cortes, was born in Santa Rosa de Copan on March 23, 1796 and died a December 11, 1865 in Comayagua. He was educated by Catholic parish priest Pedro Antonio Pineda, was a miner and headed to the political environment. On February 3, 1860 elected vice president of the nation, being the President General Jose Santos Guardiola, who was killed in Comayagua un January 11, 1862 for his own Presidential Guard. Mr. Victoriano took the provisional government of the nation a February 4 of that year, in the town of Guarita, today part of the Department of Lempira when returning from traveling from the Republic of El Salvador and transfer the Capital of Honduras from Santa Rosa city. The Government House was situated opposite corner to the Central Market North side, although it says was owned by Mr. Luis Toro, inheriting their children later. In another house owned by Mr. Castellanos Cortes lodge a legislative chamber. After a while ruling decided to move the capital back to Comayagua.
